Dr. S Aswathy hails from a family of musicians. She was initiated into music by her father r. Ramakrishna pillai at an early age and later came under the tutelage of Late Sri. harippad T.K.padmanabha pillai ( disciple of Tanchavur Sankara iyer) which gave an excellent shape & direction to her music. Later she got training under the great violin vidvan Sri.B.Sasikumar of All India radio trivandrum. She is an ' A' Grade artist of AIR & Doordarsan 9 Both Carnatic & Light vocal). She has performed many prestegious stages including SRSN of DD National programmes of AIR like Akashvani Sangeeth Sammelan. at present snhe is working as assistant professor in the Department of music NSS College karamana.
All the songs uploaded in the site are melodious and this is the first time I am hearing these songs. Nobody researches these songs and you have showed that you are a real doctorate. Swathi thirunal songs are really marvellous and soothing
